Chapter Foundation Stories

The MPI St. Louis Area Chapter consistently applies for chapter grants to supplement our chapter’s budget for the fiscal year.  This year Corri Roberts, VP of Education, applied for 2 grants ($2,500 each) and received both.  The grants will be applied to monthly program speaker fees and Educon speakers.

The Chapter Grant Program was created by the MPI Foundation Board of Trustees to provide financial support for MPI Chapters seeking funding for educational content-related projects such as webinars, white papers and books.

The MPI Foundation seeks proposals that provide quality education and content which enable career development for chapter’s members.

Based on member surveys and event feedback, we know meeting content is important to our members.  Hiring engaging speakers and choosing relevant industry topics keeps members coming back for more.  EduCon 2010 is a perfect example of a Foundation grant being used wisely as a record-setting 162 attendees registered for the event.  A wide variety of topics were covered including life balance, negotiating successfully and spontaneity at work, as well as more industry-specific issues such as Corporate Social Responsibility and social media trends.

Thank you MPI Foundation and Corri Roberts for making our chapter stronger.
